While in Thunder Bay for work I stopped in for dinner at Eatery 61 with a colleague.  It was a quiet night because of the cold weather but there were a few customers. I ordered the roasted cauliflower and scallopa and they were BOTH delicious. The flavour pairings and combinations were amazing!  The chef even came by to see how we liked our meals.

We stopped for lunch. We had the feeling that  it is a more popular time to go for supper. I had the chicken sandwich and my partner had the burger. Fries are great. Both sandwiches were very good. The buns are very nice. Their house solid is not what you're used to but a simple mix of mescaline lettuces with a pomegranate balsamic dressing. That is the only dressing they have. We would definitely go back and try other things. It's clear by the quality that this isn't your average cafe. I think the chicken sandwich was very good but perhaps too much sauce. Amazing food experience at The Eatery. This place is worth every star! Our waiter Prince was precious and our food was scrumptious! Highly recommend! I’ll be back! Met one of the chefs and he said the menu will be increasing the gluten free options. Everything from my mocktail to the apps and mains to the desserts—delicious! I ordered the duck fried rice but they were out of duck. Not a good start but was I lucky in the end. The food is soooooo delicious! I had the short ribs on orzo with mushrooms and blue cheese. I hope they never change a thing. I loved it. The portions are very generous. I found the prices very reasonable. I found it chilly in there but it was really the first cold night we had had so maybe they hadn’t adjusted the thermostat yet. I highly recommend eating there.
